As a pre-medical student, I try to perform service that is related to health care and medicine. This past year, as the Treasurer of the American Medical Student Association, I have taken part in many medical service experiences through Wayne State. Some of my favorite have been leading UNO tournaments for patients at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and working with World Medical Relief. At World Medical Relief, a local organization, AMSA members and I sorted, inventoried, and refurbished medical equipment and drugs for shipment overseas. Wayne State provides great opportunities for pre-med students to get involved in their field.
