The Luella Hannan Memorial Foundation, located on Woodward Ave. one block south of campus, has its offices in the Hannan House, a multi-service senior center that provides educational programming and social services to older adults in the central city. WSU faculty and students have partnered with the Hannan House for the past 10 years. Previous service-learning projects have included collecting oral histories and writing biographies, creating a website on the history of Detroit's black Boy Scout troops, conducting research and writing scripts for the SeniorVoice radio program, tutoring and assisting in the computer lab.
